1. Monrovia High School Marker (Front)
Inscription.
1883-1912. Monrovia's first high school was started in the fall of 1883 and graduated its first two alumni Mary Hubbard and Ina Phillips in 1884. The building was built in 1881 on the location of Monrovia's first Common School built in 1857 and used until 1912.

1912-1967. Monroe Township authorized the building of a new school in 1912. The high school served both Monroe and Gregg township students and was used until 1967. The building was razed in 1978.
