Eames House has been designated a National Historic Landmark. This property possesses national significance in commemorating the history of the United States of America.
The Eames House was the creation of prolific designers Charles and Ray Eames and, when completed in 1949, their lifelong home. This Case Study House #8 embodies many of the ideals of post war Modernism and is regarded as one of America's most significant experiments in domestic architecture.
 
Erected 2006 by National Park Service - United States Department of the Interior. (Marker Number 381.)
