Pier Jacobs Pander (1864-1919)

Hij was een Nederlandse beeldhouwer en ontwerper van medailles. Hij portretteerde vele bekende personen uit zijn tijd. Zo maakte hij onder meer de beeltenis van koningin Wilhelmina op de Nederlandse munten die zijn geslagen tussen 1898 en 1910. Aanleiding was haar inhuldiging in 1898.

Pier Pander was a Dutch sculptor and designer of medals. He portrayed many famous people of his time. For example, he made the image of Queen Wilhelmina for her inauguration in 1898, which was subsequently used on the Dutch coins that were minted between 1898 and 1910.
