1. Original McDonald's Flooring Marker
Inscription. These turquoise terrazzo tiles installed below were salvaged from the original "Golden Arches" building designed in 1953 by Dick McDonald. His layout was the standard for all stores for nearly 20 years. The distinctive 1950's architecture was replaced with modern, but boring looking rectangle brick buildings. These two pieces of polished stone are the last links to that building and era.
