Cando School was officially founded in 1914. It was located on the site of the present Roman Catholic Church.
In 1952 a new three room school was opened. Between 1953-55 three country schools were moved in to accommodate the increased enrollment. In 1965 a new addition, consisting of a library, laboratory, gymnasium and four classrooms replaced the three schools. Four more classrooms and a staffroom were added in 1969. In 1975 a portable classroom completed Cando School.
Erected in 1985 with funds from the Cando History Book and the Government of Saskatchewan.
