The silver jeweler and benefactor Johann Gottlieb Klaucke (born 1719, died 1805) lived in this house, the great benefactor of the neighboring evangelical home for poor children (from 1855, the Maximilian Museum).
The J.G.Klaucke Foundation still works in his spirit today.
