Excerpt (in translation): Manresa was an expert and innovator of legal science, which gave him a relevant role as a legislator, coinciding with the historical moment of the drafting of the Civil Code and the Civil Procedure Law. He belonged to the General Codification Commission of 1875 as a member of the civil section, which placed him among the great legal legislators of the 19th century with Alonso Martínez, Cárdenas, Igón and Gamazo.(Submitted on December 10, 2022.)
