Eerste deel van een gedicht van verzetsstrijder Anton Schweigmann. Geschreven onder het pseudoniem Toontje Berger. Het gedicht werd opgenomen in de illegale uitgave Frontsector om de lezers in bittere tijden moed in te spreken.
Schweigmann is geboren in Leeuwarden en was lid van het Amsterdams verzet.

In the dark hour, with silent gesture,
Conscious of the imminent danger,

First part of a poem by resistance fighter Anton Schweigmann. Written under the pseudonym Toontje Berger. The poem was included in the illegal publication Frontsector to encourage readers in bitter times.
Schweigmann was born in Leeuwarden and was a member of the Amsterdam resistance.
