Born in Bienville Parish, Rip called Tallulah, LA. his home. As a teen he worked the sawmill all day, playing the pool halls & juke joints all night. As a noted blues guitarist & vocalist, Rip's early collaborations with Willie Dixon & Guitar Slim later found him ripping it up at New Orleans Jazz Fest, Louisiana Folklife Fest & Pig Fest... Rip's journey & album "Highway 80 Blues” were featured in Living Blues Magazine, a celebration of a life well lived & loved.
