The site of Hull and Calnon Cigar Store Hullie & Mike's was operated by George Hull and Mike Calnon. It was more than just a cigar store. It was a gathering place for Notre Dame fans during the Rockne era.
In addition to selling tobacco products the store served as a cafe where Irish fans could follow road games via Western Union.
In the back of the store was a table where the legendary George Gipp won many a wager with his ability with a pool cue.
