Powell House
Powell House is South Bend's oldest African American home built by Farrow Powell in 1858. It was moved to this location in 1979 from its original site at 420 S. Main St. After being damaged by two previous fires, the house was burnt to the ground on Halloween night 1980. This foundation is all that remains of the historic Powell House.
