1. Historic Water Tower Marker

Inscription. This water tower was constructed in 1894 with a base of native sandstone that supports a brick top section covering a 364,000 gallon steel tank. As a vital component of the water system of the City of Sault St.e Marie, this community landmark was rehabilitated in 2010 to meet current drinking water standards. This historic structure is nationally recognized by the American Water Works Association for providing over a century of service to the citizens of the City of Sault Ste. Marie.
