Gemeindebackhäuser entstanden aufgrund eines Erlasses von 1830. Sie dienten sowohl der Holzersparnis wie auch der Verringerung der Brandgefahr. 1830 gab es in Winterbach 45 private Back- und Waschhäuser.
Community baking and drying house of the upper village, built 1847.
Municipal bakehouses were built on the basis of a decree from 1830. They served both to save wood and to reduce the risk of fire. In 1830 there were 45 private bakeries and washhouses in Winterbach.
