Inscription.

(English translation:)

Hofwijck was the country estate of Constantijn Huygens, designed by himself and built in 1639 with the help of Jacob van Campen. The design of the garden was based on the human body after the harmony model of Vitruvius, a Roman architect of classical antiquity.

"At Hofwijck I sleep well, and dream of all things"
(First line from: 'Rest on Hofwijck'.)
