Excerpt (in translation): The paralegal Dr. Hans Zimmerl belonged to the "Austrian Freedom Movement" in Vienna from 1939 around the Augustinian canon Roman Karl Scholz and was his deputy. After the group's betrayal, Dr. Hans Zimmerl arrested, sentenced to death and executed in 1944. His mother was also imprisoned for three years. On May 2, 1944, he advised her in a letter not to go to Berlin to seek clemency.(Submitted on January 17, 2023.)
