1. First Evangelical Lutheran Church Marker
Inscription. Frederick Schmid, pioneer Lutheran pastor, held the first service in 1853. Two years later "The First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lansing" organized. It has met on this block ever since. The present church was built in 1915.
