Gaylord in Otsego County, Michigan — The American Midwest (Great Lakes)
Kramer's Busy Big Store
Frank Kramer built this building in 1883 and purchased the store to the west so he could relocate his business, Kramer's Busy Big Store
In 1900 an addition to the east was completed and all three storefronts were veneered with brick
Claimed to be the "Largest Department Store" between Bay City and Mackinaw at that time
The building was later divided into three businesses: this center portion was the A&P Grocery Store, later Glasser Drugs and since 1993, the Alpine Chocolat Haus.
Erected by Rotary Club of Gaylord.
