Tampa in Hillsborough County, Florida — The American South (South Atlantic)
War Correspondents Memorial
Down the corridors of time comes the memory of brave men armed only with camera and typewriter, the many “War Correspondents” who throughout our nation's history have given their all, sacrificed their very lives with honor to send back to their fellow countrymen the actions, the courage, and disappointments of their fellow Americans in the battles freedom.
This flag is dedicated by the Temple Terrace Beacon and its staff to reflect upon their deeds with respect and lasting gratitude, and proudly we salute them on this first day of May, 1982.
