Cornelis Anthony Fannius Scholten 1767-1832

Hij was advocaat in Den Haag en bekleedde onder koning Lodewijk de post van algemeen secretaris van de Raad voor de Jacht. Tijdens de omwenteling van 1813 was hij, samen met Joan Melchior Kemper, commissaris van het Algemeen Bestuur in Amsterdam. Als beloning werd hij daarvoor in de adelstand verheven.

(English translation:)

Fannius Scholten was a lawyer in The Hague and held the post of general secretary of the Hunting Council under King Lodewijk. During the revolution of 1813 he was, together with Joan Melchior Kemper, commissioner of the General Board in Amsterdam. As a reward, he was ennobled for this.
