Inscription. Boyhood home of N.E. Stewart, Alabama state representative, poor keeper for the state House of Representatives.

Member of Bibb County Commission, Bibb County Road Commissioner, and member of county board of education.

A 59-year career of public service.

Pioneer home was given to Tannehill State Park by Mrs. Essie Kornegay. Restored in 1973.
