1. Sadler House Marker
Inscription. “Single pen” log house built by John Loveless in 1817 in an old Indian field. Additions, which enclosed the log house, were by Isaac Wellington Sadler and wife, Martha Prude, starting in 1835. Isaac, the son of William Rose Sadler, was a planter, educator and a founder of Pleasant Hill Methodist church. The house contains a “prophet's chamber” for traveling preachers.
