This Memorial is dedicated September 20, 1997, by the Ohio LST/Amphib Association in honor of all Navy and Coast Guard personnel who sailed LST's to assault beaches in WWII - Korea - Vietnam - Desert Storm plus peace time duty. This Memorial is also to the Marine, Army and Air Force personnel, who with their equipment were delivered by these LST's to their D-Day Invasions. There were 1051 Landing Ship Tanks built and in commission from 1942 thru 1995.
