1. Berry Davidson Marker
Inscription. Builder and designer of saw mills, grist mills, and cotton mills, his work helped industrialize the Central Piedmont. In Gibonsonville he built Minneola Cotton Mill on Railroad Ave (1886); Hiawatha Cotton Mill on Eugene St. (1893); his home on Church St. (1887); and the Methodist Protestant Church on Church St. (1893). Davidson served as mayor of Gibsonville from 1907 to 1911.
