Inscription.
This typical one-part masonry vernacular commercial structure was built sometime between 1909 and 1913. (Though the date shown on the front of the building is 1914, the building appears on the 1913 Sanborn Fire Insurance map.) It was originally intended to have two stories, but the second story was never added. The building originally housed furniture and hardware stores in two store fronts. In 1928 it was the Acorn Department Store and later became the White House Cafe. Its most recent use has been a meat market and a restaurant.

Erected by City of Tarpon Springs, Florida.
