Priester, dichter en dι grote voorman van de katholieken aan het einde van de negentiende eeuw. Werd in 1880 als eerste priester Tweede Kamerlid. Hij was een boeiend en geestig spreker met een levendige voordracht.

Priest, poet and the great leader of the Catholics at the end of the nineteenth century. In 1880, he became the first priest in the House of Representatives. He was a captivating and witty speaker with a lively delivery.
