Geniet van een wandeling in dit unieke zes kilometer lange stadspark langs de singels en laat je verrassen door de cultuur, historie en prachtige plekken die Leiden rijk is. De bomenroute, poorten en gekleurde singelparkiconen wijzen de weg door de verschillende parken.

Park de Put
In Park de Put staat Molen de Put. De molen is een replica van een 17e-eeuwse houten molen, waarvan rond 1600 er dertien op de Leidse stadswallen stonden. De molens voorzagen de stad van meel. Kijkend vanaf Molen de Put naar de andere zijde van de Oude Rijn ligt de Weddesteeg. In deze straat stond het geboortehuis van Rembrandt. Het huis is in 1927 gesloopt. Een plaquette aan de gevel herinnert nog aan de plek waar Rembrandt heeft gewoond. In Park de Put staat het Indie-Monument 'Een afscheid zonder thuiskomst (1945-1952). De Oost-Indische sfeer komt terug in de beplanting van het park.

mill to the opposite of the Oude Rijn, one can see the Weddesteeg, where Rembrandt's birth house once stood. The house was demolished in 1927.
