1. SGT Warren C. Lane Memorial

Inscription. Belding Varsity Football jersey #61 was worn by Warren Lane, a graduate from Belding High School with the class of "63". He married Marcia, moved to Grand Rapids and entered the Army in 1966, but he will always remain a Belding son. Warren was attached to C. Company 4th Battalion, 3rd Infantry, American Division in the Quang Ngai Province near the D.M.Z. in North Vietnam. Sgt. Lane's life was cut short just outside of Da Nang when he tripped a booby trap that the V.C. were so very good at concealing. Warren will forever be missed and remembered by family and friends alike.
