Inscription. Nathan B. Young, Jr. was born in Tuskegee, Alabama and attended Florida A&M and Yale Law School. He moved to St. Louis and founded the St. Louis and founded the St. Louis American Newspaper, a black weekly publication. After serving as Assistant City Counselor in 1965, he was appointed as St. Louis' 1st black Municipal Court Judge.
