Brandywine Park in Wilmington in New Castle County, Delaware — The American Northeast (Mid-Atlantic)
Abessinio Stadium
Baynard Stadium (1922-2018) was the site of spirited competition and great memories. As its useful life came to an end, Salesianum School built Abessinio Stadium to create generations of new memories, and to serve as a monument to what can be accomplished when communities work together for the greater good.
Salesianum wishes to acknowledge everyone who, from the beginning, shared a vision for a facility that could serve the schools that use it, the city, and the greater surrounding community. We are grateful for all those who worked patiently to make progress, and we celebrate as neighbors and friends a new monument for the City of Wilmington.
Erected 2020 by Salesianum School.
