Hoorns schipper en koopman. Bekend door Het journaal van Bontekoe, de gedenkwaardige beschrijving van de reis naar Oost-Indiλ in opdracht van de VOC. Johan Fabricius verwerkte het in zijn jeugdroman De scheepjongens van Bontekoe uit 1924.

English translation:

Skipper and merchant from Hoorn. Known for Het journaal van Bontekoe, (published in English as Memorable Description of the East Indian Voyage) commissioned by the VOC (Dutch East India Company). Johan Fabricius incorporated it into his youth novel De scheepjongens van Bontekoe, published in 1924.
