Inscription. John E. Jacob was born in Louisiana and raised in Houston, Texas. He received his B.A., masters and doctor of law degree from Howard University. An avid supporter of black businesses, Jacob served as President and CEO of the National Urban League and became the first African American to join the senior management team as Vice President of Global Communications of the Anheuser Busch Companies.
