1. Remaley Settlers Marker

Inscription.

Ambrose Remaley immigrated to America in 1749 on board the ship Lydia. He held land warrants for several hundred acres in the area currently known as Upper Slatington and Washington Township. Remaley settled in the area south of Washington Street, and was the second principal landowner in Slatington, Slatington's first source of drinking water was from a Remaley owned spring in the southwest corner of the borough. The family developed several of the first farms in northeastern Washington Township.
