Inscription. This rare species has not been recorded in Missouri since it was found in 1918 near Poplar Bluff near the Arkansas state line. Its showy white flowers come out in April. If you happen to see it in flower, look closely to see that there are no petals. The white structures that look like petals are stamens (pollen-producing organs). Conspicuous not just in the spring, Neviusia retains green leaves into November after most other shrubs have changed in color or have dropped their leaves.

Erected by Missouri Botanical Garden.
