Although the Lehmann Lawn is best known for its early spring crocus display, horticulturists enhanced the real estate in 2014 by adding a host of different bulbs for long-term naturalization. Thousands of bulbous irises, crocuses, fritillaries, English bluebells, gladioluses, colchicums, and sternbergias were planted throughout the field in varying drifts. As the plants grow and mature, they will re-seed themselves into the lawn. Over time, this area will become a naturalized bulb meadow.
