Inscription.
Cast at the Royal Artillery Foundry Seville, Spain March 21, 1783 during the Reign of Carlos III. Was turned over to the United States Army at Santiago, Cuba following the Spanish-American War of 1898. Presented to the City of Saint Louis, Missouri in 1900.
