Professor Achtzehn served two departments, the college, his profession, and the community with distinction and dedication. He was a celebrated coach of the wrestling and cross country teams, the coordinator of the Physical Education Division, and a CAC Coach of the Year. He was honored with the Coach Achtzehn Cross Country Classic and was a 1995 inductee into the YCP Athletic Hall of Fame. His instructional expertise, service, and energy has influenced a wide circle of colleagues and students.
