Inscription. Born in St. Louis, Floyd Irons is a graduate of Vashon High School and Langston University in Oklahoma. Renown in St. Louis as the Vashon men's head basketball coach for 33 years, Irons' accomplishments include 10 state championship titles, 824 victories and an 84 percent winning percentage.
