1. Blackland Methodist Church Marker
Inscription. The Blackland Methodist Episcopal Church, South was founded in 1857 by Rev. Joseph M. Wells (1811-1896). Originally located 100 yards north, the Blackland Methodist Church was dismantled and rebuilt here in 1933. After the congregation was discontinued, the church building was owned by the R.C. "Ike" Cartwright family. In 2015, it was purchased by members of the Ralph Johnson family and restored as the "Little Blackland Church" to serve as an events venue and community center.
 
Erected 2020 by Mississippi Department of Archives and History.
