Location. 39° 59.108′ N, 76° 1.042′ W. Marker is near Gap, Pennsylvania, in Lancaster County. It is in Salisbury Township. Marker is on Middle Street just south of Bridge Street (Pennsylvania Route 741), on the right when traveling south. The Walker House is just south of the landmark Gap Town Clock. Marker is mounted at eye-level, just to the right of the east entrance on Middle Street. Touch for map. The Worst/Walker House was built by Isaac Walker for his daughter Esther about 1879 on property that contained the Shawnee gardens known to be vegetable gardens for the Shawnee Native Americans. This salt box type house with its tiny rooms known for their artistic décor housed Esther, her husband, Diller Worst and their seven children.
