1. Rehavam Observation Point Marker
Inscription. Military leader and Israeli Government Minister. Was born in the capital of Israel, Jerusalem.
From early on in life, he defended his people like the emblematic two sheaves of wheat and a sword, a symbol which has accompanied generations of fighters from the Palmach through the IDF.
A man of greater Israel and one of its greatest lovers, who fought zealously and in self-sacrifice for the state of Israel's existence and freedom. A scholar well read in the history of Israel and its language. and a Jerusalemite in every fiber of his being.
Chief of the Central Command (1968), Prime Minister's Adviser on Counter-Terrorism (1974), Adviser to the Prime Minister for Counter-Terrorism and Intelligence (1975-1977), Chairman of the Board of the "Eretz Israel Museum" (1981), Member of Knesset from the 12th Knesset (1988) and twice minister in Israeli governments.
Was assassinated on Wednesday morning, October 17, 2001, 30th of Tishrei, 5762, in Jerusalem, where he was born.
