1. Azzahra Hotel-Dakkak House Marker
Built in 1900 by Sa'eed and Omran Dakkak, it was one of the first houses to be built in the area. The house was designed by a Turkish architect infusing Turkish and Islamic building styles. The family lived in the house until 1930; It was then leased to the British High Commissioner Sir John Robert Chancellor. Later on and up to 1948 it was rented by Al Rawda School. In 1965 Rawhl al Khatib rented the house and transformed it into a hotel and has since 1959 been leased to notable Jerusalemites who still run it as a hotel.
