Inscription.
Construction of the Immaculate Conception Church marked the establishment of a Roman Catholic community in Camden.

Designed by Jeremiah O'Rourke in Gothic Revival style, work started in 1864 and finished in 1893.

It was dedicated as the Cathedral of the newly formed Diocese of Camden in 1938 and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
