1. The Agora Marker
Inscription. In the Byzantine period a concourse surrounded by porticoes was built in the city center, to serve as a hub of commerce and activity for the citizens.
With the ascent of Muslim rule in the Umayyad dynasty, the agora became a major center for the production of pottery.
