Inscription. Born Feb. 3, 1808 in Burke County, Georgia. Came to Texas in 1835. Joined the Army of Texas after signing the Declaration of Independence. First county clerk of San Augustine County First district clerk of the First Judicial District Died, February 7, 1890 at San Augustine, Texas.
