The building was remodeled several times, including a 1941 addition of black spandrel glass to the first story and the addition of white Fiberglas exterior panels across the upper story. At some later date, moss rock replaced the spandrel glass. In 1977, the Home Light and Power Company restored the brick on the east half of the Buckingham Gordon Block, but the original faηade of the west half of the building remained hidden under non-original materials. With a grant from the State Historical Fund, United Way of Weld County worked with Aller-Lingle Architects and Thissen Construction to restore the faηadeto its historic appearance and prominence in downtown Greeley.(Submitted on May 6, 2023, by Cosmos Mariner of Cape Canaveral, Florida.)
