1. Liedertafel Hall Marker
Inscription. The Liedertafel, a musical group of German immigrants, built the Liedertafel Hall in 1893. The Italianate theater hosted Liedertafel performances, dances, moving pictures and vaudeville acts. The name was changed to Liberty Theater during World War II. J.D. Bruner purchased the building in 1923 after the Liedertafel musical group disbanded.
