Long career of public service, two-term Ohio senator, chairman, Grant Hospital board for 40 years and charter member Columbus Boys Club. Some of his honors include governor's award, Christopher Columbus award and outstanding citizen award. He was a man dedicated to helping others.
Born in Lancaster, Ohio, and resident of U.A. for 63 years. Married to Elizabeth Hammond until her death in 1987. Survived by daughter, Mrs. Richard Hutchinson, A.U.A. resident and a son, Rev. Richard Gingher of Toledo, two granddaughters and five great grandchildren.
Erected 1990 by Upper Arlington Historical Society.
