Regarding Hyperion Bridge. The 56-foot-wide, 1,370-foot-long bridge crosses over the Los Angeles River, the Golden State Freeway, and Riverside Drive. Completed in 1929, it features a series of reinforced concrete arches. The bridge is also known as the Hyperion Viaduct, a viaduct being a long elevated roadway consisting of a series of arches.
Before the building of the Hyperion Bridge there was a wooden bridge where it now stands. That bridge, built around 1910, served as the main entrance to Atwater Village, until its collapse after a large flood in 1927.

2. Hyperion Bridge Marker
The bridge has become more widely known since the building of a small-scale replica at the entrance to Disney California Adventure near Disneyland.
The original Disney Studio Site was on Hyperion Avenue, ½-mile from the Hyperion Bridge (see nearby marker).
