Hugh Tyler who studied art at the Pratt Institute and in Europe, worked form a studio in the Fort Sanders neighborhood and is best remembered for his architectural murals - and the fact that he appears as a character ("Uncle Andrew") in his nephew James Agee's Pulitzer-winning novel, A Death in the Family.
