Inscription.
With the goal of promoting international cooperation, mutual prosperity, world peace, and to contribute to the friendship between the United States of America and Japan, the Partners Park Friendship Garden signifies Marysville's cultural and industry linkage to its Friendship City - Yorii Town, Saitama, Japan. A Declaration of Friendship was signed by Yorii Mayor Makoto Shimada and Marysville Mayor John Gore on December 2, 2013 which fosters the relationship between each community to further develop their historical, cultural, educational, and industry bonds.

The garden stone and cherry blossom tree were gifted to the City of Marysville by Yorii Town to further strengthen the relationship between the two communities.
